Abstract

The public has two very different perceptions of bartenders, an iconic person in Irish folklore: shoulder to cry on, encyclopedia of drinks knowledge, fatherly figure with the sympathetic ear. The bartender also holds the key to wild abandonment and sinful rights of passage.
