Published by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara (B.I.M.) / Irish Sea Fisheries Board, Hume House, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 . B.I. M. is the statutory corporation charged by the Government with the development of the fishing industry in Ireland.

Cumann Na Mara , is translated as the ''Society of the Sea'' exists to promote the wider enjoyment of Irish fish and seafood at its best. To this end it appoints restaurents specialising in Irish seafood produce. All establishments display a plaque with the mermaid symbol indicating membershp of Cumann Na Mara.

This book tells you something of Ireland and her fishing traditions.
