Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the nature of humanitarian aid supply chains and explore if business supply chain concepts, particularly agility, are part of these in order to integrate humanitarian aid practices with concepts in the academic supply chain literature. It addresses Oloruntoba and Grey (2006) ‘Humanitarian aid: an agile supply chain?’ and investigates and expands on their exploratory study.
