The group is a multidisciplinary one, drawing on expertise in the areas of Materials, Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling, Bioengineering, Control and Sensors. Current research is mainly in the area of orthopaedics, biomechanics, FEA and CFD analysis, rapid prototyping and design. The BTC has links with Medical consultants from AMNCH, Galway, Clane, Blackrock, Crumlin and Coombe Hospitals.
