This is track 13 of a music cd-rom entitled "Western Wind" which was produced to mark the 125th. anniversary of the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Recorded at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Rathmines Road, 6 June, 2014 to August, 2015.

Abstract

Elgar composed Weary Wind of the West as a test piece for the Morecambe Musical Festival, May, 1903 to a libretto by Thomas Edward Brown (1830-1897). It became very popular among the festival choirs.
