	<p>During the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, the city of Dublin entered a period of urban remodelling and expansion which incorporated a wide range of Renaissance influence spatial principles including: geometrically aligned streets, uniform streetscapes, squares, crescents, octagons, tree-lines malls, and axial vistas.  This paper reviews the ideals and influences which underpinned the application of these principles – particularly in regard to their contribution to the creation of Georgian Dublin.</p>
